Katara
Today is her birthday.
If my mother were still alive, today would be her 45th birthday. We would hold a bonfire in the center of the village and people would dance and sing and celebrate.
But my mother isn't still alive.
And we don't live in the South Pole anymore, we are here in the Western Air Temple. And we won't hold a bonfire to celebrate the passing of another year for her.
Instead, I will mourn.
There is no moon tonight, not the tiniest sliver of pale light to help me as I carefully and quietly get out of bed. Tears prick at my eyes as I think about what I must do. The
It started soon after they arrived in the Fire Nation. He figured it must have been those summer nights that caused it. Her late night escapes from the house they stayed in. at first he thought it was because she wanted to bend the water when no one was around or knew. But there was something else.
She was at one with her element. Surrounded waist deep in an ocean at her command in a land that was against her. The waves moved as she did, wrapping around her delicate figure. As he watched her more, he noticed something else. A golden light surrounded her. His first thought was fire. Once he walked into the water, he could see it wasn't the ca

Katara blinked as soft, pink light swept across her face, a sunrise slowly emerging from the eastern sky. She turned her head on the pillow. Zuko's dark crop of hair, wildly misshapen from sleep (among other things) tickled her face and she slowly brought her self up on one elbow.
Katara groaned quietly as she remembered a saddening detail that would take her away from her husband this morning. Master Pakku was visiting the Fire Nation, and while here, had agreed to show the Fire Lady a couple of high expertise water bending moves, ones that he himself had
Blood.
Usually when someone is bleeding, everyone else in the room wants to know the reason for the bleeding. But when its your own husband who caused the bleeding, youd just wanna sit back and watch the action take place, because frankly when youre nine months pregnant, you just dont want to deal with the crazy fuss of family. So what I did was exactly this, I watched my husband stand from his seat, punch Zuko in the face and then I grabbed his fire flakes that he left besides me and I watched the scene in front of me unfold.
It was a normal day on Kyoshi Island. Everyone was here; and by eve

"Ouch! Damnit! That hurts! Stupid knife, don't even see why I have to help cook anyway..."
Katara rolled her eyes at him, biting back a giggle. This may very well have been her best idea ever. It's not that she still held a grudge against him; he had proven himself long ago. But now, on the aniversery of the end of the War, the old gang had gathered together for a little party, a little celebration. And Firelord Zuko was helping her in the kitchen. Katara grinned as she turned around to help with whatever he had done now.
Zuko glared at her, an

Day 3 - Jealousy
The pale woman was standing in the middle of her garden within the Fire Palace. The feeling of her old weapons between her fingers - sharp and cool just as she preferred to think of herself too gave her strength. Those fed her rage.
The target stood yards away from her painted red, black and yellow, but for some reasons she could only concentrate on the middle of it. The yellow circle hauntingly reminded her of a pair of golden eyes, which met her gaze only once. From the tanned face of a child the child of the waterbender.
